Hi friends! Good morning or afternoon! Are you an East Coast reader or a West Coast reader? Maybe none of the above and that’s okay. You’re just cooler than the rest of us!
Welcome to Week 2 of Mindful Mondays!
Take the next 60 seconds to pause, read, and reflect on your past week and plan for the one ahead. That’s all it takes!
I like to say at the beginning of my Yoga classes, “Grant yourself the next 60 minutes to quiet your mind, move your body, and connect to your soul.”
For you, it’s only 60 seconds, and guess what? You can stay sedentary!
First of all, I need to say thank you to everyone who took the time to read the moment everything changed. I received so many heartfelt messages that brought such joy to my day. As much as I try to veer away from depressing topics and stay lighthearted, I must admit that some of my best pieces are from a place of heavy emotion. And that’s okay. I just wanted to say thank you for reading and supporting me. I hope I don’t disappoint you in the future.
Okay, back to Mindful Monday!!
Let’s get started, shall we?
Pause & Reflect
How are you feeling right now? Acknowledge your energy without holding judgment or attachment towards yourself. How was last week? What went well and what could have gone better?
This last week has felt foggy for me. I am allowing myself the rest my body is craving, but I am feeling frustrated when my brain needs some as well. The days have blurred together and most of them were not worth remembering. Nonetheless, I am grateful for maintaining a healthy routine and having deep, reflective conversations with the community I’ve built around me. That being said, I had a couple of tough conversations this week that could have gone better. I am proud of myself for feeling confident enough to initiate these challenging conversations but I do think I could have slowed down, and allowed for more space from others. But that’s okay! At least I am self-aware lol. That’s how my week unfolded—but what about you? What challenges or victories shaped your week?
Name a small joy you experienced last week.
My friend Robbie and I impromptu got Ramen for dinner one night and we talked about our biggest hopes and dreams.
Themed Thoughts & Journal Prompts
In my Yoga teachings, I love incorporating a theme that has been prevalent to me and weaving it throughout class to bring new thoughts to my students. My goal is to mix my two passions this year: Writing & Yoga, so why not bring my weekly teachings here as well?
Where can you find acceptance in your life? What expectations have you placed upon yourself or others that cause you more pain than pleasure? How can you practice releasing those expectations this week?
Weekly Wish-List
What do you want to accomplish this week? This can be ANYTHING! Eat 3 meals a day, go to sleep early, run a marathon, call your mom, write a book. Think BIG and SMALL!!! But think ATTAINABLE!!!
This week I want to:
Cook & eat red meat (I am feeling Iron-deficient lol)
Plan a new yoga sequence for my classes
Go on a super duper early hike
Read 10 minutes a day
What’s one thing you’re looking forward to this week?
I am hanging out with a new friend tonight and I am hoping we will make great friends.
Favorite Finds
What are you enjoying as of late?
What’s a movie, book, or experience that left a lasting impact on you recently? Share below—I love hearing your recommendations!
OH MY GOSH GUYS!!!! I found my new favorite movie ever. Typically, I cannot watch movies alone. I’ve claimed Coraline to be my favorite movie since I was born so this is HUGE news! The movie is “The Worst Person in the World” on Hulu. I have watched it TWICE within one week. It is entirely spoken in Norwegian which I admire because I have a strong fascination with Norway and hope to live there one day. The acting is superior. The entire plot is extremely relatable. They slow down the moments of falling in and out of love with somebody perfectly. Chefs kiss.
I am reading “Tehrangeles”. I have struggled with reading since my break up 6 months ago-I don’t know why and it’s been challenging to come to terms with because beforehand, reading was a huge priority of mine. I finally realized I can read real, tangible books again, rather than on my Kindle and I am hoping this to be a game changer for me.
I love taking the time to cook myself breakfast in the morning instead of the on-the-go yogurt or oatmeal. Breakfast of the week: Sunny side-up egg on a toasted and buttered English muffin topped with micro greens. Quick, easy, and delicious. (Also hoping the singular egg helps my Iron levels lol)
This week I’ve enjoyed a long, boiling hot shower every day thinking about life and washing away all of my worries or negativity.
My favorite food has been a Veggie and Rice bowl with the Trader Joe’s Maple Chicken Sausage and a fun sauce on top.
Complimenting people is the fastest way to boost your mood. I think I have said, “I love your shirt!” 25 times this week.

Creativity Corner
What are you working on? Be specific here. Are you into photography, music, comedy, painting? And what specific aspects of your art is your main focus this week?
This week I want to complete another essay, continue expanding my knowledge of SEO, and draw/color book pages for all three of my nephews.
